Edwards-Hager. Her artwork is inspired by the elegance and
simplicity of Sumi-e (Japanese Brush Paintings) but she has added a
modern twist with her technique and use of watercolours. However
remaining true to traditional methods, Brazen still grinds her own ink
and uses traditional bamboo brushes. Brazen Edwards-Hager is primarily
a Wildlife Artist so she felt it
important to give back to those that she cares so deeply about,
animals. Brazen has been an animal lover and advocate her
entire life, as a little girl she would bring home strays and as an
adult, volunteered her time helping numerous animal rescue
organizations.
In the year 2000, Brazen travelled to the US to
rescue her Weimaraner, who was days away from being destroyed at the
animal shelter. In 2009, she rescued a spayed female Blue
Russian cat from the cold and has given her a safe and secure home ever
since. It just makes sense to Brazen to donate 10% of her
proceeds from her Shop on Etsy to the numerous animal organizations
that need her help.

area. "Heidi and her husband George are the proud

of three shelter cats (Dorian, 23 years old!; Betty, 14 years old; and
Lars, 10 years old); three hens (Mona, Lori and Carla - named after the
Three Stooges); and 25 turtles and tortoises. They also raise
and
release monarch, anise swallowtail and pipevine swallowtail
butterflies. A large portion of their yard is devoted to
California native plants and other plants that are either the hosts for
or provide food for butterflies and birds. Heidi and George just had
their yard certified as a Monarch butterfly way station through
MonarchWatch, and it has been a Certified Wildlife Habitat through the
National Wildlife Federation for several years.
During the 2008 California election, Heidi and George supported the
(successful) proposition campaign to end cruelty to farm animals, by
giving all of the proceeds from items that they designed in their Yes
on Prop 2.

dogs, cats, horses and wildlife in various styles whether it be realism
or abstraction.
Cori Solomon is owned by 3 salukis, Gabi,
Keli and Lexi and 2 cats Albee and Ollie. Tradition has it that all her
animals names have an (i) at the end of the name. The antics of Cori's
salukis and cats give her the inspiration for the art she creates. In
recent years Cori decided to expand her participation in helping
animals by donating a percentage of her proceeds on the majority of art
and products she sells to numerous charities and rescues. She now
donates actively to about 15 charities and is always looking for more.
