Artists Helping Animals?
Etsy for Animals (EFA) aka Artists Helping Animals, is a team of independent artists, craftspeople, vintage sellers and craft suppliers on Etsy.com who are dedicated to providing charitable relief to animals by donating a portion of the profits from their shops to an animal charity of their choosing, and/or to EFA's featured Charity of the Month.
Etsy for Animals can be found as a Street Team on Etsy.com, an online marketplace for buying and selling handmade & vintage items as well as crafting supplies. Etsy's mission is "to empower people to change the way the global economy works. We see a world in which very-very small businesses have much-much more sway in shaping the economy, local living economies are thriving everywhere, and people value authorship and provenance as much as price and convenience. We are bringing heart to commerce and making the world more fair, more sustainable, and more fun."

How does EFA help
animals?
All Team EFA members donate a portion of the profits, either from specific listings or from their overall shop inventory, to an animal charity of their choosing, and/or to EFA's featured Charity of the Month. Specific information about donation percentages and chosen animal charities can be found either in their product listings or in their Shop Announcements.
Many members of Team EFA work with or for animals in one shape or another. You can find out about each member by reading their profiles under Shopping Categories. A few examples of that work are:
Animal advocacy work,
Animal foster work,
Animal volunteer work,
Crafting for the benefit of animals
Creating habitat for animals,
Donating goods to animal charities and/or organizations,
Fund raising for animal charities and/or organizations,
Participating in Team EFA's Charity of the Month Program,
Providing a permanent home for rescue animals.

What is the Charity of the Month (COTM) program?
Each month, Team EFA designates one animal charity as our Charity of the Month (COTM). All EFA Charities of the Month is the charity of choice of at least one EFA member. You can read all about our Charity of the Month program here.
How can I make a donation to the Charity of the Month?
Anyone can donate to Team EFA's Charity of the Month !
If you'd like to make a donation you can find the website links to the current & previous 11 Charity of the Months on EFA's Main blog in its left hand column. Clicking on the charity of your choice will take you to their official website or donation form.

Yes, Team EFA has two blogs... a main blog and a challenge blog.

What is Team EFA's challenge?
Team EFA has two Challenges: the Monthly Challenge and the Treasury Challenge.Every month there is an opportunity for EFA members to submit one of their listings to be featured on EFA's Challenge blog. Each month has a specific theme which the entry must reflect in some way. Entries that are accepted will be displayed at the beginning of the month- approximately one each day- until all the Challenges have been shown off. The Monthly Challenge blog provides a lovely display of goods presented by our artists & suppliers- its a wonderful marketing opportunity for our sellers!
EFA also has a Monthly Treasury Challenge… our challenge is to make a 100% all EFA Team Treasury based on a set theme. Members are invited to create an Etsy Treasury based on their interpretation of the month's Treasury Challenge theme.
